Tested by Fire
The warning in the Bible has explicitly and sternly admonished everyone to pay close attention to the Word of God lest we would be deceived by the cunning ways of Satan. Many people believe God but not His command. Jesus said, “You disobey God’s commands in order to obey what humans have taught. You are good at rejecting God’s commands so that you can follow your own teachings! . . . . You ignore God’s commands in order to follow your own teaching (Mark 7:8-9,13a). No wonder why the Apostle Paul kept on warning all the believers to pay close attention to God’s Word and fill our lives with His message (2Peter 1:19; Col. 3:16). As we choose to obey God we are assured of His power to make us overcomer and not allow Satan to make all our works useless (1Thess. 3:5; Luke 22:31-32). Our Redeemer will make us love like God who loves us unconditionally and as patient as Christ who entrusted His enemies to His Father who judges justly (Rom. 5:8; 2Thess. 3:5; 1Peter 2:23).

1Peter 1:6-7, “So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold — though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So, when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.”
